Our practice can provide a wide range of dental services. We can typically provide every type of dental service without having to refer you to other specialties. This flexibility saves you time and keeps your total dental care within one practice. Our emphasis is on total preventive care for our patients. Total care begins with regular hygiene visits, regular checkups and continued home oral health routines.

  • Dental Restorations - Dental fillings are placed in teeth where a dentist has had to remove tooth structure due to decay or fracture. Although silver amalgam was the dominant choice years ago, in recent years filling materials have been substantially improved by many technological advancements. Our office provides several other cosmetic options for tooth restorations such as direct tooth colored composite fillings applied in one appointment or indirect cementable resins and porcelains(inlays or onlays) that are fabricated to match the look and feel of natural teeth by a dental laboratory.
  • Direct Tooth Colored Fillings - Advantages of tooth-colored fillings are the life –like aesthetic qualities along with the preservation of more natural tooth structure. Advancements in composites have made the materials to have optimal bio-compatibility with natural tooth, minimal risk of allergic reactions, and no development of metal sensitivity. The dentist will remove the minimal amount of tooth structure necessary to complete caries(dental cavity) excavation while maximizing adhesion of composite resin to the tooth. The dentist will contour the composite filling to produce the desired aesthetic appearance and expose it to a blue laser light to harden the resin for strength and durability.
  • Inlays and Onlays - An inlay or onlay is an indirect restoration which takes two appointments. When a tooth has lost more than one third of it’s healthy tooth structure due to decay, it is sometimes best to have an inlay or onlay fabricated as one of the strongest and lifelike dental restorations to restore the strength and health of natural tooth structure. The decayed portion of the tooth is removed from sound tooth structure in the same manner as a dental filling. An impression is made and sent to a dental laboratory where an inlay or onlay is fabricated to match the look and feel of your natural tooth. This often resembles a puzzle piece that will completely blend into the natural tooth structure once it is cemented into the tooth. Inlays and onlays can be made entirely from high-strength ceramic and porcelain or full gold substrate. A temporary filling is placed onto the tooth for protection and at the second appointment, the temporary filling will be removed for the inlay or onlay to be cemented permanently.
  • Crowns - A crown is a cap that seals and protects natural teeth and it’s roots when conservative restorations such as fillings are insufficient to restore the form and function of a tooth. Crowns address aesthetic needs, restore tooth function, and enhance the overall health of your mouth. In cases where teeth have large broken down fillings, a crown can protect and preserve the remaining tooth structure from further deterioration. Crowns are also normally needed for a tooth that has had a root canal treatment to preserve function. Crowns can be made entirely of gold for reliable long wear, porcelain fused to metal for strength and beauty, and high strength metal free porcelain for optimal cosmetic result. To enhance your smile, a metal-free, tooth-colored crown can also replace an existing older metal/porcelain crown.
  • Dental Bridges - A bridge serves to replace a missing tooth or teeth and there are healthy teeth on both sides of the open space. Bridges can also be used to support a healthy space between dental implants. Bridges can be made of 3 types of materias, solid gold, porcelain fused to high noble metal, and metal free high strength zirconia ceramic. A bridge is cemented to the prepared teeth or implant to restore the natural beauty and health of teeth.
  • Root Canal Endodontic Treatment - Root canal treatment is necessary when the pulp(nerve) of your tooth becomes inflamed or infected. The causes of inflammation or infection can vary from deep cavities or trauma creating a crack for chip in the tooth. A small opening is prepared to clean and shape the pulp chamber and the canal in the roots of a tooth free of bacteria and infection. The cleaned spaces are then filled with a biocompatible material and cement to seal the roots from future infections.
  • Periodontics/Gum Disease - Gum disease is usually caused by a sticky film of bacteria called plaque that constantly form around teeth. When plaque is not removed on a routine basis with daily brushing and flossing, the plaque can calcify to become a hard grainy bacteria called calculus. This development of chronic bacteria causes the gums to become irritated and inflamed. The irritated gum tissue can separate from the teeth to form spaces called pockets for bacteria to nest in the mouth. Deep pockets promote irritation and continued accumulation of bacteria. Left untreated, the process will demineralize the healthy bone surrounding the roots of teeth and destroy other tooth-supporting tissues. As the bone dissolve around the teeth, the teeth become unsupported and will fall out. Unfortunately, pain does not occur until the final stages of the disease and treatment at that time has very little chance of being successful. To prevent the development of periodontal disease, our office will always perform a thorough periodontal evaluation of our patients mouth at each check-up visit and recommend the proper hygiene care needed to meet each individual’s needs. We will work with other specialist to manage and stabilize any pre-existing periodontal conditions. Our goal is to give our patients the necessary information and education so they can have a healthy beautiful smile for years to come.
  • Dentures - Replacing your missing or damaged teeth will benefit not only your appearance but your overall health. Using state-of-the-art technology and updated materials, dentures can now be custom designed to look more natural and feel more comfortable.
